What should you expect with TMJ treatment?
To help diagnose a temporomandibular disorder, our dental team will listen carefully to understand your concerns before performing a physical exam. During the examination, we will assess how your jaw moves and start looking for indications of jaw clenching, teeth grinding, and misalignment. The team will also palpate the jawbone and lower face for any tenderness and inflammation. Our dental team might request digital x-rays of your lower head or an analysis of your bite to search for underlying factors that could determine your treatment method. What happens after the appointment?
