Contact UsWhat are dentures?
Full or partial dentures are an effective method for restoring lost teeth. These prosthodontic appliances could make it more comfortable to talk and bite into food with self-assurance and can even improve the aesthetic appeal of your smile after tooth loss. Our team designs full and partial removable and implant-held dentures for individuals in Simsbury, CT. Full dentures take the place of every one of the teeth in the upper arch, lower arch, or both; however, partial dentures are offered when a number of the patient's teeth are still intact in the mouth. At Hope Family Dentistry, our staff can help you decide whether removable or implant-supported dentures are more suitable for your dental issues and can then have them carefully made to provide an appealing look and secure fit. Schedule your restoration consultation with our dental team to find out more.
What are the different types of dentures?
Fitting each patient's individual requirements is important to us, so our Simsbury, CT facility offers several individualized denture solutions for tooth replacement:
- Removable bridge-style dentures take the place of empty areas left behind by a single or a few lost teeth. They are held in their location by discreetly latching to nearby teeth.
- Removable complete dentures take the place of a complete upper or lower arch and are secured by the natural shape of the jawbone or an oral adhesive.
- Implant-held dentures fill in for some, or a whole arch of, teeth. These restorations are fastened to dental implants in the jaw for greater reliability.
- Immediate complete dentures are applied as soon as the real teeth are taken out. The comfort of these appliances might be corrected as the gum tissues heal.
- Traditional complete dentures are appropriate in cases where teeth have previously been taken out and the mouth is totally healed.
Hope Family Dentistry Reviews
Just had my first dental exam with Dr. Natalie Pesun. She was beyond lovely. Such wonderful bedside manner, very knowledgeable and asked thoughtful questions to get to know me and my history with past dental visits. The hygienist was amazing too! Kept me feeling very calm and comfortable. Looking forward to going back :)
What a great staff extremely helpful, kind. Had a little work done. It came out excellent!š
Dr. Hope was great, but he has retired. Now Dr. Touloumi is seeing patients and is also great. The hygienists are outstanding. The desk employees are awesome. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind. This dentist office is ran by a small group of wonderful people. Happy to be a patient here.
DR HOPE RETIRED IN 2025. Dr Hope and his staff are nothing short of amazing. The office is spotless and they are practicing social distancing. Our family has gone to Dr. Hope for many years and we have been very happy with his work, his kindness and patience. I was scared to death of dentists but Dr. Hope worked with me to get over that. There is not a better dentist around. The hygienists are great, Melissa is my go to and is gentle and thorough, and fun. Going to the dentist is no longer something to dread. Canāt say enough about Dr. Hope and his staff.
I would highly recommend Hope Family DentalI recently had to have work done on a tooth and Dr. Touloumi and staff were great. Thank you to all.

Who is a good candidate for dentures?
Great candidates for having dentures can be patients who have lost many teeth or need to have teeth removed. Dentures function to improve your oral capabilities, let you eat nutritious foods, and help retain your facial structure. These pieces work best when the gum tissues are in good condition, and when there is enough bone to hold them in place. At your consultation with our dental team, we will evaluate your oral health and discuss your potential solutions based on your needs, maintenance goals, and budget. Using this information, our team will help you determine if dentures are right for your dental health and which style might effectively suit your individual circumstances.
What is the denture process like?
A member of our team will begin the denture process by making digital or molded impressions of the upper and lower arches. These impressions will then be sent to our partnering dental lab, which will craft your personalized dentures. Single-arch and bridge dentures are made of light resin, which may be reinforced by a titanium framework. Created with high-grade substances, dentures are intended to replicate the look of natural teeth and gumline. Once your restorations are complete and you arrive at Hope Family Dentistry, we will have you come back for a fitting appointment. Our dental team will adjust your appliances so they fit securely or fasten them to already-placed metal implants. Someone will also discuss the ideal techniques to care for your personalized dentures.

About UsHow do you properly care for your tooth replacement?
Returning to your regular functions, such as chewing and talking quickly, can require up to a month; however, they will be less difficult with time. If your dentures feel like they are shifting around, call Hope Family Dentistry so our staff can plan a refitting checkup. You can care for your dentures by brushing them using a delicate brush following each meal and placing them in water nightly to keep them from becoming too dry. We ask you to return to Hope Family Dentistry for regular exams so our dental team can check the condition of your restorations and your total oral health for several years in the future.
Are dentures covered by insurance?
Personalized dentures might be paid for partially by many dental insurance programs. Our practice will call your insurance provider to figure out your exact coverage; when this happens, we will estimate your extra expenses. During your consultation with our dental team, we will tailor your procedure program so your dentures suit both your aims and budget. Hope Family Dentistry accepts multiple payments, including dental financing, to make the denture process even more accessible.
