Our team is pleased to offer CEREC technology for one-visit restorations. CEREC (an abbreviation for ceramic reconstruction) uses CAD (computer-aided design) and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) equipment to make the restoration in our office while you wait. Hope Family Dentistry uses the CEREC system to make customized crowns, bridges, onlays, and inlays. The system may also be utilized for cosmetic dentistry to generate customized veneers. Just had my first dental exam with Dr. Natalie Pesun. She was beyond lovely. Such wonderful bedside manner, very knowledgeable and asked thoughtful questions to get to know me and my history with past dental visits. The hygienist was amazing too! Kept me feeling very calm and comfortable. Looking forward to going back :)

Dr. Hope was great, but he has retired. Now Dr. Touloumi is seeing patients and is also great. The hygienists are outstanding. The desk employees are awesome. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind. This dentist office is ran by a small group of wonderful people. Happy to be a patient here.
DR HOPE RETIRED IN 2025. Dr Hope and his staff are nothing short of amazing. The office is spotless and they are practicing social distancing. Our family has gone to Dr. Hope for many years and we have been very happy with his work, his kindness and patience. I was scared to death of dentists but Dr. Hope worked with me to get over that. There is not a better dentist around. The hygienists are great, Melissa is my go to and is gentle and thorough, and fun. Going to the dentist is no longer something to dread. Can’t say enough about Dr. Hope and his staff.

What should you expect from CEREC treatment?
A CEREC treatment will start with an appointment where our dental team can develop your unique treatment plan. The process will require an electronic scan of your mouth. The scan will allow our dental team to manufacture your restoration. From that point, your restoration will be sent to the CEREC machine to get created. The time required to make your restoration will depend on its dimensions. When the restoration is ready, our dental team will finish and polish the item before putting it in place. We may modify the restoration so it's comfortable and matches your natural enamel.
What is recovery from same-day restorations like?
After your restoration is made, you must keep a great home dental hygiene routine. You also need to schedule yearly dental exams and twice-yearly cleanings at Hope Family Dentistry in Simsbury, CT. Our dental team will check your CEREC restoration at every appointment and make any necessary repairs or alterations to help keep your smile healthy. CEREC restorations can remain in place for several years if cared for properly.
